Oslo – Johannesburg, May 13th, 2013. - Scatec Solar, the global solar energy provider, today signed the final agreements with South Africa’s Department of Energy to build two more PV projects totaling 115 MW under the second round of the South African Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Program. The agreements confirm Scatec Solar’s position as a leading PV player in South Africa. At the same time, the company can report sound progress on its 75 MW Kalkbult project, awarded in the first round of the REIPP. The plant is geared for completion in October, almost two months ahead of plan.

Oslo – Johannesburg, Nov 12th, 2012. Scatec Solar, the global developer and turn-key supplier of solar PV (photo voltaic) solutions, Monday this week signed the final agreement with South Africa’s DOE in order to build a 75 MW project awarded in the first round of the South African Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Program. A PV plant of this size will be amongst the largest to date in Africa. Construction will commence immediately and the plant will be in commercial operation in the fall of 2013.
