Scatec Solar acquirers 50% of Solarcompetence GmbH to make it a fully owned subsidiary

Scatec Solar, a global turn-key supplier of solar PV (photo voltaic) solutions, has acquired the remaining 50 % of the equity interest in the German Solar PV company Solarcompetence GmbH and indirectly the EPCI company K&S Solarsysteme GmbH.

-  Germany being the world’s leading PV market, it has been a priority for Scatec Solar to acquire a fully owned subsidiary with leading expertise within the PV field, Mr. Ravi Khanna, President and CEO of Scatec Solar, said.

- We believe that Germany will continue to be the key market for Scatec Solar in the future.  Solarcompetence’s highly experienced team, with very strong market knowledge and execution oriented approach, will enable our company to become a leading provider of commercial PV solutions in Germany and other European markets. The acquisition will be instrumental in Scatec Solar’s ability to leverage on our  European PV experience and position to take a substantial market share, Mr. Khanna said.
